Some of what we build on PracticePanther

Intake to consults

We turn web and phone inquiries into intake summaries, and your team runs conflict checks and decides which ones to book as consults.

Deadlines on the matter

We draft court dates and deadlines from your documents, and an attorney confirms each one on the matter.

Time and billing

We tidy time entries and draft invoices for your billing team to review.

Client updates

We draft client status updates from your matter notes for an attorney to approve.

Document intake

We read, name and file client documents to the right matter.

Answers for your staff

Staff get answers to internal procedure questions from your own playbooks.

PracticePanther grants API access on request. A developer asks PracticePanther support for access, answers a few preliminary questions and receives access once they are approved, and PracticePanther asks to review the integration with its team when it is ready. Sastre handles that request together with your firm, then connects PracticePanther to the rest of your tools, with your team approving every change before it is saved.

PracticePanther already syncs its calendar with Google and Outlook calendars and can turn appointments and events into time entries. That built in step covers the calendar, and the work we add sits around it: phone calls that never become notes, emails that never reach the matter, and time spent on calls and messages that never reaches a time entry.

Time and billing deserve care, so time entries are drafted only from work your team actually did, such as a logged call, a sent letter or a reviewed document, and an attorney reviews each entry before it reaches an invoice. Invoices are drafted for your billing staff, and nothing is sent to a client or charged to a card without a person approving it.

Around that calendar sync, PracticePanther workflows can include:

  • Calls with clients and opposing counsel are summarized onto the right matter with the next step and its due date.

  • Emails about a matter are matched to it, and attachments are named and filed.

  • Draft time entries are created from logged calls, letters and document reviews for an attorney to approve.

  • A web form or phone inquiry becomes a drafted contact and matter, and an attorney clears any possible conflict before anyone replies.

  • Unpaid invoices past their due date trigger a reminder in your firm’s voice, and the reminders end when PracticePanther records the payment.

Until access is approved, we work from the exports your staff can pull and queue each drafted change for your team to enter, and browser steps are added only where your firm approves them. Each draft and approval, and every change saved to PracticePanther, goes into an action log that belongs to your firm. Your attorneys decide, as ABA Formal Opinion 512 expects, when a client must give informed consent, and we hand them a written account of each tool and data flow.

For a B2B company, we built call debriefs that turn notes from every discovery call into a structured review in the buyer’s own words, saved to the deal. On PracticePanther, the same step puts a clean summary of each client call on the matter.

How we connect to PracticePanther

Each account allows different access, so we confirm yours in the workflow map and design around it.

Official API

Once PracticePanther approves API access for your firm, approved updates post straight to PracticePanther.

Reports and exports

Where the API is closed or limited, scheduled reports and exports supply the data, and we queue each change for your team to enter.

Approved automation

Where neither works, we use browser automation that your team approves step by step.

Questions about PracticePanther and AI

How do we get API access to PracticePanther?

PracticePanther grants API access on request after a few preliminary questions, and we prepare that request with your firm. Until it is approved, we work from exports and drafts your staff enter.

Will AI create time entries we cannot justify?

No, time entries are drafted only from work your team actually did, such as a logged call or a reviewed document. An attorney reviews every entry before it reaches an invoice.

Do clients need to consent before AI reads their matters?

The need for consent varies by tool, by engagement terms and by state. ABA Formal Opinion 512 asks for informed consent before confidential information goes into a tool that can learn from it, so we document each tool and data flow and your firm decides.

How is client information in PracticePanther protected?

Each workflow uses only the access it needs, and your firm can revoke it at any time. Our providers’ business terms keep client data out of model training, every change is logged, and the client data we hold is deleted 30 days after the engagement ends.

What does a PracticePanther project cost?

It starts with a free working session of about an hour on one workflow, such as call notes or time capture. The workflow map that follows ends in a fixed quote, and its fee is credited to the build.
