Some of what we build on MyCase
Intake to consults
We turn web and phone inquiries into intake summaries, and your team runs conflict checks and decides which ones to book as consults.
Deadlines on the matter
We draft court dates and deadlines from your documents, and an attorney confirms each one on the matter.
Time and billing
We tidy time entries and draft invoices for your billing team to review.
Client updates
We draft client status updates from your matter notes for an attorney to approve.
Document intake
We read, name and file client documents to the right matter.
Answers for your staff
Staff get answers to internal procedure questions from your own playbooks.
MyCase, which says more than 19,000 law firms use its software, offers its Open API on one tier only, Advanced, and access starts with a written request to MyCase support. The firm sends support a redirect address for the connection, the access level it wants and an administrator’s email, and MyCase then issues Open API credentials to that administrator. The firm also chooses whether those credentials can only read or can also write. Sastre prepares that request with your administrator, so the access your firm grants is the access each workflow actually needs.
On Advanced, workflows can read your cases, contacts and calendar and post the updates your team approves. On MyCase’s other tiers there is no Open API, so we build from the reports and exports your staff can pull, queue each drafted change for someone on your team to enter, and use browser steps only for actions your firm approves in advance.
The seams around MyCase usually sit at the front of a case and at the payment page. A prospective client fills out a form or calls, and someone has to type the details into a new case; a client pays through the firm’s MyCase payment page, and someone has to tell the attorney and update the plan; and every week, someone checks which leads never got a call back.
With Advanced tier access, or with exports on other tiers, MyCase workflows can include:
Inquiries from forms, calls and email are summarized into a draft case with possible conflicts listed for an attorney to clear.
Each morning, leads that went quiet are listed with their last message, so your intake team decides who to call.
Payment plan reminders go out on each client’s agreed dates and end the moment MyCase records a payment.
Hearing dates from court notices are drafted onto the case for staff or an attorney to confirm.
Clients who ask about their case get a reply drafted from the case notes, which an attorney approves before it is shared.
Every write to MyCase passes through an approval first, and the action log your firm owns records the draft, the person who approved it and the change that followed. Whether a client must give informed consent first is the firm’s decision under ABA Formal Opinion 512, and our written account of each tool and data flow gives your attorneys what they need to make it.
For a technology company, we built a pipeline assistant that reviews quiet deals every morning with the last email for context and checks new leads for duplicates before they reach the CRM. On MyCase, the same review keeps prospective clients from going quiet unnoticed.
Some tools we connect to MyCase
Questions about MyCase and AI
Which MyCase tier do we need for an API connection?
MyCase offers its Open API on the Advanced tier only, and an administrator requests it from MyCase support in writing. On other tiers we work from reports, exports and approved browser steps, and the workflow map compares both routes.
Can we give read only access?
Yes, MyCase lets the firm choose read or write access when it requests credentials. Many workflows start with read access and drafts your staff enter, and write access can be added later if your firm decides it is worth it.
Do clients need to consent before AI reads their case information?
That is your firm’s decision, and it depends on the tool, your engagement terms and your state’s rules. ABA Formal Opinion 512 asks for informed consent before confidential information goes into a tool that can learn from it, so we document every tool and data flow for your firm’s decision.
How is client information in MyCase protected?
The credentials go to your administrator, each workflow uses only the access it needs, and your firm can revoke it at any time. Model training is off limits for client data under our providers’ business terms, each action is logged, and we delete the client data we hold 30 days after the engagement ends.
What does a MyCase project cost?
We begin with a free working session of about an hour on one MyCase workflow, such as intake or payment follow up. After that, the workflow map ends in a fixed quote for the build, and its fee is credited to that build.
